Something You - What I love about Autumn/Winter!

What I love about Autumn/Winter!

Picture this... The rain pouring down outside with the frosty cold wind that accompanies the Winter season (I'm really selling it so far). However your are nice and warm with your pjs on and the softest blanket around you while you're sipping on a smooth cup of hot chocolate watching Disney movies. HOW GREAT DOES THAT SOUND!?

I think the beginning of Autumn is my favourite season! It is such a nice feeling when you realise that you can now finally wear your winter coat and clothes :)

I just feel like Summer is always disappointing, you may get a week of wonderful sunshine, but unless you go abroad then that is usually it! At least with the later part of the year you can be sure of the weather.

Not only this but I don't feel so guilty about staying in and doing cosy things such as watching the telly or writing blog posts (Very important things!).

So what do you like about Autumn/Winter the best? Hopefully it's not the end of it that you prefer! I'll tell you one other thing, the best thing about it... CHRISTMAS! Who's counting down?

Something Borrowed - Magazine Pick

Magazine Pick
(Borrowed from the Times Style mag!)

Just saw this feature in the Times Syle Magazine and it really stood out to me!

I had a little look at all the autumnal eyeshadow shades and was very impressed :) They are such easy and wearable colours and I'm sure you could get a good smokey eye out of them.

I was also happy at the range of prices used, as they are not all high end products and brands, there are a lot of affordable items there too! Yay!

Rundown...

So I took my favourite products from the list and thought I would give you my views about them and a link to buy them too!

This was the first one to stand out to me on the page! In the magazine, it has the lid open so you can't see the brand. I thought it was going to be an expensive one but was pleasantly surprised to see it is just at £4.50 per item. It is a really rich shade and would be great for a really deep and dark eyeshadow look if you applied it to the full lid. I'm sure it would make a nice smokey eye too applied to the crease!

I really like this pallete because it has really strong colours within the set. Often you can buy palletes that don't have dark enough browns for example, which is okay but means you can't do a really dramatic look. I love the tones they have included... It's so nice! But is quite a lot of money :( Priced at £46, it may have to be on your Christmas wish list!

I'm going to be honest, I didn't actually realise this was an eyeBROW product at first! That's okay though because it's still pretty cool. You can choose from a number of different shades to suit your colouring. As well as this, the fact it is a gel is great because it will be easier to apply and you can really build it up depending on how bold you want to go! This little pot is priced at £19.50.

Hope you liked my choices from this article, it really stood out to me on the whole and so thought I would share my favourites with you! Have a lovely day :) x

Something You - All About Those Bags...

All About Those Bags...

I've gathered together some rather nice bags to show you that I'm really liking at the moment for different reasons and I think you'll love them too! If you want to see where you can buy one, I have put links in the titles of each bag, just ask me if you need help :)

Let me show you them...!

River Island Structured Tote Handbag - £42.00

This one caught my eye firstly because of the gorgeous colours! (I then found out you can also get it in a black and caramel colour which is also fab!!!)

The straps are removable and it is quite a big bag which is always handy to lose things in... No really it is great and that is why I've picked it :)

The only thing I am disappointed about is that it isn't leather, I usually like to go for leather bags, but this is still lovely!

ASOS Leather Backpack - £28!

This is a fantastic price for a real leather backpack! I have a black backpack at the moment similar to this and it is really handy...
Backpacks are very in at the moment and they are so easy to carry round which makes these a great choice.

They have some other bags like this one, so have a look at their website and see what you think! (Link in this title)

Zara Leather Clutch - £69.99

This bag is a fair bit more money than some of the other that I have picked, so maybe you could add it to your Christmas wishlist... but if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one of these then, well, lucky you!

I absolutely love the pattern on this bag, the animal print is very stylish and will add another element to your outfit. It is just a clutch, so you will have to be sparing in what you take with you, but does that matter when the bag is so lovely?

Urban Outfitters Simple Tote Bag - £39 £20

The reason I love this bag is because it is so practical and just great all round (not just because it's on sale)

With the new extortionate 5p shopping bag charge this bag will come in really handy to give you some extra room to put some of your shopping items in.
These bags are also excellent for overnight stays or for hand luggage as they have a lot of room!

I have a great tote bag that I use when I go on holiday, and thankfully, it fits an extra jumper in for when you get off the plane in England...

You should hurry if you want this bag, because it is on sale and I'm not sure how long it will last :)

Thank you for reading, I hope you liked my bag choices! Let me know if you need any help with the links. The prices are correct to the date published.

Something You – Autumn 2015 Lip Shades

Seeing as it is now definitely Autumn (Although it is lovely and sunny today!) I thought I would do a seasonal blog post and post something for you. My favourite lip colours and shades for the Fall!

I have chosen my four favourites, I will run you through them below:

Bourjois (Rosewood Pearl) – I have had this lipstick for a little while and it is a really nice shade to wear. I feel like you don’t have to be too daring to wear this shade and it goes with a lot of makeup looks which is great! It is also more moisturising than some lipsticks which is important for when it starts to get colder :)

L’Oreal (Place Vendome) – I was given this lipstick for a present which was lovely! I think it is a beautiful colour :) Normally I don’t like red lipsticks because a lot are too bright or they just don’t suit me, but I feel like this is better because it has slightly darker tones and gives a beautiful colour when applied.

Rimmel (Amethyst Shimmer) – If you want to add a bit of colour to your look, this is a great lipstick to go for. It is fabulous for the transition between Summer and Winter because it’s not too bright (like something you might wear in the Summer) but still provides a lovely pop of colour for your lips with a really sophisticated tone :)

No7 (Under the Sun) – Finally I have chosen this lovely lipstick shade. It pretty much sums up Autumn to me. It has really rich, coppery, earthy tones and I think it is beautiful on. Again, as with all of the shades I have chosen, it is not too bright and will make your lips look absolutely gorgeous!

Let me know what you think, tell me if you have other favourites for Autumn, I would love to hear from you :)
All the best
